专利说明:
Information display system in a sales area DOAAAINE GENERAL TECHNIQUE AND CONTEXT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to the association between articles of a sales area and locations of said sales area. The display of information relating to items presented for sale in a sales area is generally made using labels including the price of the article to which a label is associated, as well as other information such as the price by weight, etc ... The need to have an up-to-date information display has justified the establishment in many areas of sale of electronic labels of gondola, more conveniently referred to by their acronym EEG, or ESL of the English "Electronic Shelf Label" , having a screen on which the information display is controlled remotely. The usefulness of such systems is essentially to allow, at the level of the shelves of a sales area such as a supermarket, hypermarket, pharmacy or any other sales area, to present to the consumer, for each item presented for sale , information produced as a price corresponding reliably to the information as it appears in the central file of the site, that is to say to the information as it will actually be used in cash for payment of the article. Another advantage of these known systems is to enable automated product information changes to be made in much shorter time periods than with manual display, whether for particular periods of promotion on the site, for all or part of articles presented for sale, to reflect changes in tariffs, to deal with situations of inflation where prices must be increased very frequently, etc ... FIG. 1 thus illustrates an assembly 100 consisting of a rail 101 and EEG 102. Each EEG 102 comprises a housing 103 inside which are housed the functional constituents of said EEG 102. An EEG has a display screen 104 for displaying information relating to an article with which it is associated. Typically, this information includes the price of the article, and other information usually available in a sales area, for example the price per kilogram for a food product. In addition, the EEG 102 includes a radio frequency communication module for receiving data representative of information relating to an article from a central station connected to a computer system, a memory for storing said data, and a microcontroller for controlling displaying information about the article. These various functional constituents are arranged on a printed circuit board housed in the housing 103. The housing 103 also contains a battery for the power supply of the EEG 102. The rail 101 has a U-shaped section and the EEG 102 are housed in a trough 105 formed by a bottom 106, an upper rim 107 and a lower rim 108, the EEGs being housed between said bottom 106, the upper rim 107 and the rim lower 108. The rail extends along the entire edge of a shelf 109 of a gondola of the sales area, and accommodates as much EEG 102 as the various items arranged on the shelf 109. to more than ten EEG 102 per meter of rail, and thus several thousand, even tens of thousands of EEG per sales area. Since an EEG 102 has a large number of components, in particular electrical and electronic components, an EEG 102 is therefore an expensive device. The large number of EEG 102 necessary for the equipment of a sales area is therefore a significant cost, which can become prohibitive. An object of the present invention is to provide an information display system in a sales area that is simpler and less expensive, and whose maintenance is simplified. DETAILED DESCRIPTION Figure 2 shows an information display system 1 to be disposed in a sales area according to an embodiment of the invention. The system comprises a support 2 adapted to be disposed in the sales area comprising a reception space 4 adapted to accommodate a plurality of electronic gondola labels (or EEG) 6, said gondola electronic tags comprising an electronic display screen 8 adapted to display display data. In the example illustrated, for the sake of simplicity, a single electronic gondola label 6 is shown disposed in the receiving space 4 of the support 2. It is understood that in practice, such a support 2 accommodates a plurality of 4 gondola electronic tags. Typically, in a sales area are distributed gondolas, presentation furniture products offered for sale, consisting of several shelves on which are placed the products and which delineate aisles in the sales area. The support 2 is then placed on the edge of the shelves, facing the traffic aisles. To do this, the support comprises mounting means on said shelves, for example clamps 10 snapping on the edge of a shelf by complementarity of form. The support 2 then extends along the edge of a shelf of a gondola of the sales area, and accommodates as many electronic labels of gondola 6 as the different items arranged on the shelf. One can thus find up to more than ten electronic gondola labels 6 per linear meter of the support 2, and thus several thousand or tens of thousands of electronic gondola labels per sales area. Typically, and as in the example illustrated, the support 2 takes the form of a rail with a U-shaped section defining the reception space 4, delimited by a bottom 11, an upper flange 12 and a lower flange 13, the electronic gondola tags housed in the reception space 4 between said bottom 11, the upper flange 12 and the bottom flange 13. The support 2 comprises a gondola electronic tag management module 6 and connection lines 40 connecting the management module 15 to the reception space 4. The electronic tag management module 15 is configured to manage the gondola electronic tags 6, and more particularly to support their data communication with the outside and / or their power supply. The electronic tag management module The electronic tag management module 15 is an electrical module, that is to say operating with electrical energy. Referring to Figures 3 to 5, the management module 15 extends along the support 2 behind the bottom 11 of the receiving space 4, ie on the opposite side to the electronic gondola labels 6. The receiving module is located at one end of the support 2. The management module 15 is preferably detachable from the support 2, or at least mobile relative to the support 1, to facilitate maintenance. It can comprise for this purpose protruding parts 16 intended to engage with holding wings 17 extending from the support 2 in the direction opposite to the receiving space 4. A stop 18 is provided to cooperate with a housing 19 of the support 2 to stop the race of the management module 15, defining its functional location. The connection lines 40 may be provided with a detachable portion 41 integral with the management module 15. Connection pins 42 are then provided to engage with the portion 41 of the connection lines 40 associated with the management module 15 when the introduction of the management module 15 in the support 2, in order to restore the electrical continuity of the connection lines 40. The management module 15 comprises a communication module 20 adapted to receive display data intended to be displayed by the electronic gondola labels 6. The communication module 20 makes it possible to establish wireless communications with a server from which come display data to remotely control the information display of gondola 6 electronic tags. This display data is typically product information such as the designations and prices of the articles associated with each electronic gondola label 6, but may also include other information, including commercial information. This communication module 20 is preferably a radio frequency receiver, which may optionally be a transmitter. A slot 22 can then be reserved for the radio antenna outside the reception space, for example at the end of the management module, free of connection lines 40. It is also possible to provide a communication module 20 communicating via infra-red or visible light, or any other type of wireless connection. The electronic gondola labels 6 are devoid of any wireless communication system with a range greater than five meters, or even greater than one meter. Indeed, unlike systems of the state of the art, the communication with the server, possibly via relays, whose electronic gondola tags are often several meters away, is provided by the management module 15. On the other hand, the electronic gondola tags may be provided with a near-field communication device, of the NEC type "Near Field Communication" or radio-identification, of the RFID type of the English "Radio Frequency IDentification" ", usually less than one meter. The management module comprises at least one autonomous power supply device. The power supply device 30 can store electrical energy and can restore it to electrically power the electronic gondola labels 6 disposed in the receiving space 4. The power supply device also allows to power electrically the management module 20. The power supply device 30 comprises at least one electric battery or an electric accumulator, and may comprise a series of accumulators constituting a battery. In the illustrated example, the power supply device comprises five flat batteries 32, also called element or button cell, the total height of which is less than the diameter, for example in the form of a button or a coin. It is preferably non-aqueous lithium batteries. These stacks 32 are each disposed in a housing 34, one end 35 is rounded to fit the shape of said stacks, and one end 36 is open to allow their insertion. The polarities of the batteries are alternated. Contactors 37 come into contact with the poles of the batteries to establish the electrical contact. The electronic gondola labels 6 do not have an electrically powered storage device that allows an autonomous power supply, such as an electric battery. Indeed, unlike the systems of the state of the art, the power supply of an electronic gondola label 6 is provided by the power supply device 30 via the connection lines. The connection lines 40 are used to connect the management module to the gondola electronic tags 6. The connection lines 40 consist of conductive tracks 43 extending along the reception space from the management module to the surface of a connection plate 44 placed behind the bottom of the reception space. A cover 45 may be provided to protect the connection plate 44. The bottom of the reception space 4 comprises a separating plate 50 separating the reception space 4 from the connection lines 40. In the example illustrated in FIG. 4, the portion 41 of the connection lines 40 associated with the management module 15 is shown. The remainder of the connection lines 40 has the same configuration. There are five conductive tracks 43 running parallel on the connection plate corresponding to five connection lines 40. Their number can of course be adapted as needed. Thus, the connection lines 40 comprise at least one data transmission line 46a, 46b connecting the communication module 20 to the reception space and adapted to transmit said display data to the electronic gondola tags 6 accommodated in the reception area 4. The connection lines 40 also comprise at least one power supply line 47a, 47b connecting the power supply device 30 to the reception space 4 to electrically power the electronic gondola labels 6 accommodated in the reception space 4 . Preferably, two power supply lines 47a, 47b, corresponding to the two polarities of the power supply, are separated by at least one data transmission line 46a, 46b. This reduces the risk of accidental short circuit between the power supply lines 47a, 47b. Referring more particularly to Figure 4, from top to bottom of the connection packet, a first track is a power supply line 47a to which is applied a first supply voltage V +. A second track is a data transmission line 46a of positive polarity D +. A third track is a data line 46b of negative polarity D-. A fourth track is a power supply line 47b to which a second supply voltage V- is applied. The fifth and last track is an additional connection line 48 which can for example be used to locate the locations of the electronic gondola labels, in particular by measuring an electrical parameter. The connection plate 44 may also be in two parts, one of which is associated with the management module 15, and detachable from the support 2 during removal of the management module 15, while the other part remains engaged with the support 2 . The connection plate 44 is fixed to the connection module 15, here by means of screws 49 arranged between the two data transmission lines. A similar attachment may be employed for the non-associated portion of the connection module 15. The separating plate 50, constituting the bottom 11 of the receiving space 4, has through openings 51 facing the connection lines 40 updating them to allow contact between the connecting lines 40 disposed behind said plate separating member 50 and the gondola electronic tags disposed in the receiving space 4 in front of said separating plate 50. The through openings 51 may, as in the example shown, extend perpendicularly to the direction in which the reception space 4 extends so that a through opening 51 updates several connection lines 40. For example, as in the example shown, the through openings 51 may be evenly spaced from each other in the direction in which the receiving space 4 extends, for example with a spacing of 1 cm. A stiffening bar 52 running along and attached to the separating plate 50 may be provided to stiffen the receiving space 4. The support may comprise locking elements defining predetermined locations for electronic gondola labels 6, the through openings 51 of the partition plate being provided opposite these predetermined locations. With reference to FIGS. 6 to 8, an electronic gondola label 6 comprises a housing 61, generally made of plastic material, and an electronic display screen 8 adapted to display display data. The display screen 8 is typically a low-power flat screen or using an electronic ink, and may offer different possibilities such as a polychromatic display or animated sequence display. The electronic gondola tag 6 preferably comprises a locking element complementary to the locking elements of the support. For example, as in the example illustrated, a retractable pin 62 projecting from the housing 61 may be intended to engage in an orifice formed in a rim of the receiving space 4. The application W098 / 58360 thus presents such a locking system for an electronic gondola label. As can be seen in FIG. 7, the gondola electronic label 6 also comprises connectors 63 adapted to establish a connection between the connection lines 40 and said gondola electronic label 6 in order to connect said gondola electronic tag 6 to the gondola module 6. management 15. There is at least one connector 63 per connection line 40 operated. The connectors 63 are typically made of a conductive material, typically metal. The connectors 63 are arranged on the back 64 of the electronic gondola label, on the opposite side to the display screen 8. When the electronic gondola label 6 is put in place in the reception space 4 of the support 2 the connectors 63 pass through the through-openings 51 and come into contact with the conductive tracks 43 constituting the connection lines 40. To ensure good contact and to facilitate their implementation, the connectors 63 may comprise a retractable tip 65 biased outwardly by an elastic return member such as a spring. FIG. 8 shows an example of an electronic tag 6 mounted in the reception space 4 of a support, between the lower rim and the upper rim. There can be seen the locking element 62 of the electronic gondola label engaged with the locking element 66 complementary to the support 2. The method of displaying information in a sales area by means of an information display system 1 as presented comprises the following steps. Display data is sent to the management module 15. More specifically, this display data is sent to the communication module 20 of the management module 15. Preferably, this sending uses a wireless communication technology. Thus, in the case of radiofrequency communications, the information data is sent from a transmitting antenna to the antenna of the communication module 20, possibly via radio relays. Other technologies can be used. For example, the display data can be communicated to the management module by light, visible or infrared. This display data generally comes from a computer server. This typically involves updating the item information associated with the electronic gondola labels 6, such as prices. The display data comprises an identifier of the gondola electronic label 6 for the destination of said display data. The data received by the management module 15 is transmitted to the electronic gondola labels 6 via the connection lines 40 connecting the management module to the reception space 4 in which the electronic gondola labels 6 are housed. More specifically, the display data passes through the data transmission lines 46a, 46b connecting the communication module 20 to the reception space 4, pass through the connectors 63 passing through the through openings 51 through the plate. separating 50 to reach the electronic gondola tags 6. The gondola electronic tag 6 for the display data identifies itself by means of the identifiers contained in the display data, and takes these into account in determining the information displayed by its electronic display screen 8. A display system fulfilling the same functions as the systems of the state of the art is thus obtained, with however a pooling of the management bodies of the electronic labels of gondola 6, which makes it possible to reduce the cost thereof and to facilitate use. The invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying figures. Modifications are possible, particularly from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
